Ukraine strikes bridges in Russian-controlled Kherson as fighting intensifies

Ukraine has attacked bridges in the Russian-held part of Ukraine’s southern Kherson region, Russia said on Thursday. Meanwhile, a Russian attack on a railway depot in the town of Konotop in Ukraine’s Sumy region killed a railway worker, while four were injured.
Russia also said it had captured the village of Rozkishne , about 9 km west of the frontline city of Kostiantynivka in Donetsk and Okhrimivka, about 3 km from the Ukraine border in the Kharkiv region.
In another development, the International Chess Federation suspended Russia’s membership for up to three years for its failure to cease holding events in Russian-controlled parts of Ukraine.
