What Are Your Favorite T-Shirts for the Weekend?

Stock photo via Deposit Photos / kantver.
Here’s a vitally important question for you: what are your favorite T-shirts for the weekend? (If you’re not wearing tees, what ARE you wearing instead?) As we had into summer, inquiring minds want to know!
(Me, I’m the inquiring mind.)
My favorite T-shirt for years was Caslon’s U-neck, which fit pretty similarly to the T-shirt in the stock photo. But they stopped making it, alas. They still have a V-neck, but the fabric seems to have changed a lot. Others that I also used to love have also changed or gotten harder to find, like Madewell’s Whisper tees… and of course the OG Everlane tees haven’t been the same in years.
In truth, I have an overflowing drawer with T-shirts largely in black. I’ve tried and liked a lot over the past few years — but I haven’t found one that is my ride or die. So I’m curious: what are your favorite T-shirts to stock up on as we head into spring? Which ones are you happy to pull out from previous years? Are there ones you always recommend to friends?
(We just updated our roundup of the best opaque white T-shirts for work yesterday!)
Casual, Weekend T-Shirts I’ve Tried in the Past Few Years…

J.Crew Factory’s slub T-shirts (I don’t mind but a bit too thin) (I’m 90% sure I’ve got mostly the Essential tee, but I have at least one Girlfriend tee and dislike the neckline)
Eileen Fisher T-shirts — I mostly have these in colors that I bought on sale — I like them but wear them less because they’re very colorful; I also wish they were a bit heavier weight
Talbots Pima (nice thickness but a bit too clingy unless I really go up in size, which is no fun, and then they don’t fit quite right) — ditto for Pact and American Giant (I treated myself while buying my husband some new hoodies from there — highly recommend if you or a loved one is a fan of hoodies)
Banana Republic Factory’s Timeless tees – I like these a lot, but is it just me or do they seem to get holes incredibly quickly?
Old Navy’s tees — I feel like the vintage tees are too boxy, and if I remember correctly the Everwear tees have been inconsistent in terms of fabric and sizing
Frame – like the weight and fit but I wish it were longer — so I’ve stayed away from other popular ones like Uniqlo, COS, and Leset.

I know, I am the Goldilocks of T-shirts. I want something comfortably loose that still looks polished enough to wear under a cardigan, sweater jacket or blazer… that isn’t too thin… that is ideally 100% cotton…
Readers, what are your favorite T-shirts for the weekend? Which ones are weekend only, and which can you layer under a cardigan or blazer for work? Does your answer change depending on what you’re wearing them with (e.g., high rise jeans, wide-leg pants, skort or shorts, maxi skirt…)?
